Easter (really late...I know!)

What a great Easter! It was so fun to get to share in this experience with Shawn. To give him a glimpse into our faith and the reason for our hope and belief.

He looked super cute in his little Easter leisure suit--including bow tie! :) My Mom bought this for Shawn and he was the man of the day in this get up. These pictures were taken in our new home studio. We were really excited to finally get to play in it.

Then we took some additional photos of Shawn in his Harding University (mine and Bryan's Alma Mater) jumper. And we also played around with Shawn's new hat I bought at Old Navy. Super cute! :)

Check out our photography blog for more details on the studio, and our monthly special.

YEAH for Babies!!!!

I am SO excited!!! We got a call and I am going to be an AUNT!!!! Bryan's awesome sister Cherie and her husband, Noel, are expecting! We are super excited about the new baby coming. She is still very early in her pregnancy so we covet all of your prayers and well wishes for a very successful pregnancy. We should meet the new little bundle around Christmas (ETA is Dec 23rd!). So, I guess we are definitely heading to Atlanta for the holidays.

Here are some pics of the new Mommy- and Daddy-to-be!

Here is Cherie with Shawn when he was a week old. She came out with Bryan's parents the day Shawn arrived. It was awesome to have her here! :)
I have some great pictures of Noel and Shawn while we were in Atlanta (but they won't upload!! I'll post them soon.). He loved spending time with Shawn. He got to bathe him twice, feed him several times, and pretty much wouldn't let anyone else hold him. It was so cute to see them together.

N & C--you two are going to be amazing parents. We can't wait to meet the little one. God bless you both during this time!!

My Little Angel

Every year at our church they do a Baby dedication day. The idea is to spotlight new families and new parents and provide support and encouragement for them. Bryan and I were honored to get to oversee this years celebration. We took the "Angel Baby" pictures which are featured in the event, and I put together the booklet and video slideshow. Each baby's parents writes them a blessing which is featured in the booklet. Bryan and I are such soft hearts that we were both in tears as we penned the letter to our little one. And I will admit that I was tearing up as the slideshow aired and I heard everyone Ooh and Aah all the little ones.

Here is what we wrote to our little man.
Dear Shawn,
So much like an Angel you are to us. But how do we raise an angel in today’s world? In every moment that we hold you and look into your face, we feel complete awe at the wonder of God’s power in the beauty that He has given you. The Bible says that children whose parents raise them in the knowledge and teachings of Christ will always return to him. And so we make this promise to teach you not only the teachings of Christ but what it means to walk in a relationship with Him, through great times and through hard times. We promise to let you fall so you can learn, but we will always be there with love to help pick you up and provide strength and encouragement when you need it. You already show your Dad’s curiosity and desire for discovery, and so we know that this will be an interesting ride, but one that we are so blessed to share with you. You are our precious boy and we love you so much! Daddy and Mommy

These are the pictures of Shawn. For more Angel Baby pictures you can visit our Thompson Photography blog.
This one was taken to test the lighting, but it is SO cute. I love this little Longhorn outfit we received at the WBS shower in Austin. Thanks again!!

March Girls' Night Out

We had an AWESOME time at our March GNO. We met at Sara's new condo (super cute, by the way!) and baked cookies for the church staff. We ended up with SO many cookies. We ended up filling the Easter bages with cookies for the staff and took all the rest to the Teen class the next day at Church.

It was a night of great conversation and a lot of laughs. It was great to meet Christine for the first time-she is so sweet.

Our next event is April 14th and will be at the Starbucks at Union & Alameda. See you ladies there at 7:00pm.

Waiting on a batch of cookies to finish.

Our gracious hostess, Sara. She is making her delicious snickerdoodles--yes, we sampled a few! :)

The finished product.
